  • The first of my ancestors to come to the US: Franz Heinrich and Elizabeth (Meyer) Boeckenstedt (sometimes spelled Böckstett, Böckenstedt or Böckerstette or any other number of ways!)  He was born in 1800 and she in 1805; they came to the US in 1848 with five children.
